My little doggie
This is my sophie. She is a pomeranian/shitsu mix,so she is pretty small, she is about 6 lbs. She isn't yappy either, she is so sweet. I love to watch her play with the kids and react to us it makes me laugh. She is funny. She is smart, but not smart, some times she seems to understand, and other times she just doesn't get it. I guess most dogs are like that. She sneaks down into the basement when I'm not looking and she poops or pees, she knows she isn't supposed to go down there and if I catch her she runs - she knows she's been caught. The kids are teaching her tricks, it is so cute, Londen has taught her to sit, dance, lay down & high five. Kelani is trying to teach her to beg and shake - beg is easy, all you have to do is have people food and she is all over that. She loves to hang out in the kitchen when I am cooking and wait for me to drop something, sometimes I drop stuff on purpose. She loves chicken nuggets, its like crack to her, I taught her to go down the stairs (she was too little to go down them the first few monthes) by putting a peice of chicken nugget on each step and leaving it, she got her nuggets and she got down the stairs. Her favorite place to hang out is on the back of the couch. She is a great pet I just love her.
My Baby is 10 !
When I had kahelelani I never would have guessed that she would be my last. I did hold her a ton despite Kaipo's advice to put her down. I am so glad I held her and loved her so much. I did that with both kids. I love that baby stage, so I had to savor every moment. I can't believe I have a 12 year old son and a 10 year old daughter. First of all I am not old enough, tell me where the last decade went. I don't feel 36, I am pretty sure I'm still in my early 20s.
Kahelelani is 10 years old and turning into quite the little diva. She is going to be grown up soon. I keep thinking about what I will do when the kids are grown, (which at this rate of speed will be next week). I want them to go and live their dreams and explore life, but at the same time I hope they don't go too far. They are my life and I want to be involved in their lives. Although I dont want to be a daughter or son in law's worst night mare. I should make some plans for such a time as I will be alone. Who knows, maybe I'll enjoy it. And Kaipo will be there a little. I hope my folks live a long time I'll just hang with them. Now I know why mom had lots of kids. She is just now getting to the empty nest stage. I'm only going to be in my fourties when I have an empty nest. Maybe foster care, or foreign exchange students. Who knows.
I am glad Kelani is growing up. She is so beautiful. She and I struggle some, but she knows I love her and I know she loves me. I am so grateful for her. She is an angel. I can't imagine my life without her.

Spaghetti Sauce
So the other night I had a friend over and I was heating up some spaghetti sauce for her in the microwave. I went to take it out and the handle on the nuker broke just as I was taking the bowl of sauce out and I lost my grip on it, it fell on the stove and splat - spaghetti sauce every where all over the floor and me. My friend said "well what did you do that for?" and I responded with "yeah I did it on purpose!!!" I was not happy at the time. I later invisioned the situation from another perspective and had a good laugh. Good times!! I am sure that the stains will not be coming out of my WHITE sweat shirt.

Resolution...
So every year I see the new year as a new start, I think most people do. I think about the things in my life I would like to change. Of course I want to make some changes for the better and hope that if I set a goal to make a change it will be a permanent thing. So when I think back to my goals from last year I wonder, did I reach my goals? if not did I make any progress what so ever? I wanted to lose some weight last year, did I? Yes I did, did I gain it all back? Yes I did. So do I make the same goal this year? I guess I can't give up, I still need to lose wieght. Now it occured to me that it may sound like I am setting a goal just because it's the beginning of a new year - no no, it's just a good time to reflect and think about new beginnings. I don't like to set too many goals because I don't want to feel like too much of a failure if I don't accomplish them. So there it is, I set goals in hopes of becoming a better person or improving my life in some way. Even if I don't make a permanant change at least I will make some change and improve some small part of my life for even a small moment in time.
So my goals for this year include:
1 - Eat better and exercise
2 - Keep up with the house work
3 - Be a more patient mom
4 - Be a better wife
5 - Get back in the habit of going to church
